The Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Health of Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav 

The university’s sports-mass activity is based on a clear system of psychological and pedagogical influence on the student’s personality, deep knowledge of the physiological bases of human physical activity and sports training methods. Its task is the formation of a healthy lifestyle, responsible parenthood and motherhood, and the ability to resist negative social phenomena. In this context, specialized departments hold regular activities to promote a healthy lifestyle, sports-mass competitions, etc. The purposeful work of the team facilitates formation a personality of a citizen, a future specialist, to develop the physical, mental, social and spiritual health of each student, to attract the youth to the values of universal physical culture and the revival of national traditions. The process of implementing the set tasks mobilized the university staff to achieve certain results.

The faculty has the necessary material and technical base: well-equipped classrooms, research laboratories, tourist classes, sports halls for games, gymnastics and athletics and a stadium. Sports and tourist clubs are active.

The faculty offers following educational programmes in 014 Secondary education (physical culture), Educational and professional programme “Secondary education (physical culture)” and 017 Physical culture and sports, Educational and professional programme “Coaching activity in the chosen kind of sports”.
